1. Playoff format- Semis Saturday hosted by higher seed.  Finals Sunday at pre-set sites.

   • ALL ROSTERS FROZEN AS OF 5PM  FRIDAY -2 weeks ahead of playoffs 

   • The top 4 teams in each flight make the playoffs.  

   •  Teams not participating in playoffs are free to schedule their own friendlies on 11/11 and 11/12 to get some extra games in!

   • Season long results will be prorated in cases where teams play an uneven number of games.  See Policy section on SWD website.  This is a longstanding procedure. 

   • All referees are assigned by the District Referee Assignor.  Referees are paid at the field.  Fees and more details are at the bottom of the page. 

 2. Semi finals on Saturday 11/11. Matches hosted by higher seeded team

• Top seeded team hosts the match at their fields and pays 100% of the referee fee* the same as they do at any normal home game.  Referees are to be paid at the field. See Fee schedule at the bottom of this page.

  • #4 plays at #1

  • #3 plays at #2

  • 9v9 games are 2X30 minute halves, not the normal 35 minutes, to allow for possible extra time.

  • 11v11 games are 2 X35 minute halves, not the normal 40 minutes, to allow for possible extra time.

  • If the game is tied after regulation, they will play two full 10 minute extra time sessions. There is no golden goal.

  • If the game is still tied, it ends as a tie. However, in order to determine which team moves forward to the Sunday finals, we will go to Kicks from the Penalty Mark.

Finals on Sunday 11/12- Matches hosted at predetermined venues  (see chart below)

Trophies will be distributed at the games on Sunday to Finalist and Champions by the host club Field Marshall.

Teams will play a normal full time match. 2x35 for 9v9 and 2X 40 for 11v11. If the match ends in a tie, Co-Champions are declared. (Note the higher seeded team takes the Champion trophies home that day. A new set of Champion trophies will be ready in a few days for the other team to collect.)

The teams playing in the final will each pay 1/2 of the referee* costs to the referees at the field.

*Referee Fees for Semifinals (100% paid by host team) and finals (Split 50/50 between the 2 teams). Please note that these will be full neutral crews, which means that referees will likely be travelling from another town. The fees include an allowance for these travel costs.

9v9 (u11 & U12)- CR =$65, AR = $45  ($155 total for Semi's. $77.50 each for Finals.  Please bring exact change!)

11v11 (13 & U15) Cr= $80, AR= $55  ($190 total for Semi's. $95 per team for Finals  Please bring exact change!)
